How To Save Money On Your Chandelier Light

Let’s face it, chandelier lights are expensive!  Any thing that you can do to save some cash on them is going to help out a lot, and make your home even more beautiful.  In this post I want to offer up some tips that can help you do just that so that you can get exactly what you want, without spending a fortune!

The first step is to figure out how big of a chandelier light you really need.  We’ve all seen rooms that have chandeliers hanging from the ceiling that are just way too big for the room.  While this may be intended as a sign of elegance, it just doesn’t make much sense in the average home.  You can save a ton of cash by not getting a chandelier that is too big since their price seems to jump exponentially by every inch they get bigger!

Another really cool way to save money on your chandelier light is to get it from an estate sale.  I know that not everyone is okay with installing a used chandelier, but these are fairly easy to find and are very affordable.  I helped a client find a very large crystal chandelier for only $200.  Great deals are out there, it’s just a blend of luck and persistence.

A more conventional way to save money is to shop online at retailers that offer free shipping.  Chandeliers cost a ton to ship and insure, so if you can find a retailer that is offering a free shipping sale you will save a considerable amount of money.  I’ve noticed that prices online tend to run 15% to 25% less than what I can find in my area, so this is a great way to save the money for light bulbs!

Even though chandelier lights are expensive there are still some very good ways to find them at much lower prices.  The easiest way is to make sure that you’re only buying what you need, and from there use the other tips above to get that size chandelier at the best price.
